Last night I headed to the HMV Forum where 22 year old blues singer Jamie N Commons confidently took to the stage for his first big gig, supporting Snow Patrol.
His powerful voice filled the Forum and blew me away, it was very reminiscent of his influences Tom Waits and Nick Cave.
His current EP ‘Baron’ featuring the single ‘The Preacher’ has just been released on Luv Luv Luv records.
Expect a lot more from this one!

Always on the hunt for super cool venues we found ourselves at the legendary W Hotel in Leicester Square to meet the lovely Tor, who showed us the Wyld bar all decked out in spooky Halloween props complete with broom sticks and spider web table cloths.
On our way out I spotted the rather gorgeous Brit actor and Burberry model Sam Riley lounging in the aptly named Lounge Bar. I didn’t get a photo of him (next time…), but Alice did take a snap of me outside, in front of the neon W sign that’s the same colour as my dip dye (!) then went on our way, back into the rain.
